For the new construction of the surgical wing and intensive care unit in the Geneva hospital La Colline, all areas were equipped with an ATEX terrazzo. The mobile operating tables as well as the high mechanical loads of the surgical medical technology pose special mechanical requirements. The operating rooms were divided into two zones. The area with laminar flow was given a dark ATEX terrazzo coating in black. Hand-modeled hollows free of hollow spaces underline the cleanliness of the operating theatre and intensive care unit.
